What is your Mutant Power?

If you were a mutant, what would your superpower be?

I know it's New Year's and we're supposed to talk about resolutions and how great 2009 was/better 2010 will be...But Russ and I watched X Men Origins last night because it was explosive and sexy and the kids were in bed and I want to start the New Year with a bang.

So Russ says his mustant power would be a hand that turns into an ice cream scooper. Of course I told him weight would be an issue, but he quickly pointed out he'd be a mutant with superhuman strength and speed so not to worry.

Mine would be the ability to see in the dark so I could read late into the night without keeping others awake. I think that would make me happy, bring no harm, and draw no attention from evil overlords.

So, in honor of the New Year but without all the hooplah, what would your mutant power be?

Or, just for fun, play the Which X-Men Are You? game.  Here is mine:

You Are Jean Grey

Although your fate is often unknown, you always seem to survive (even after death).
Your mind is your greatest weapon, literally!
Powers: telepathy and telekinesis, the ability to project thoughts into the mind of others, communication with animals

  1. Hubbykins and I are in agreement that I have the power of freezing cold hands and feet. He has the power of warmth. It makes for interesting snuggling, especially as he gets the cold end of the stick.

  3. My super power would be the control over nature, plants and animals, and natural elements :) The enhanced and much more powerful mix of Poison Ivy and Storm from X-Men :))) I would be able to cover deserts with grass in just one wave of my hand, and sprinkle flowers over concrete and asphalt with just a blink of my eye. But under my rule, animals would probably dominate the world instead of us evil humans, so it's better for the future of mankind that my dream should never be realized :))

  4. My super power would be read minds! I know this could be dangerous, but I would only want to read the good thoughts. Just to keep things interesting because I like getting in people's heads.

  6. I'm with Jemi. I took the quiz and turned out to be Cyclops - definitely didn't expect that. If I had mutant powers, I think I'd like to be able to be invisible. Not sure why, it just came to me. Fun post.

  7. The power to heal the sick with the touch of my hands. If only so I could help children with awful illnesses. This was fun.
Every happiness in the new year.
    Warmest regards,
    Simone.

  8. Hmmmm...beautiful question with awesome possibilities. I'd say my mutant power would have to be power to charm with words...like hypnotize (especially agents). Aside from that, I could also handle invisibility. It's just too cool.

Best wishes for a prosperous 2010!

  9. I would want the power to teleport. There's just so many places in the world I need to see and flying from Alaska takes a looooooong time. Teleporting would be awesome!

  11. My mutant power would be to live two lives, that way I could have more time to do all the things I want to do. Life these days seems far too short.

  12. Ok. Those all rock. I can't even choose the best. Simone's, of course, is wonderfully altruistic, while Dezmond's has me a little concerned because he's obviously thought about this before. :)

Thanks for making this a fun New Year's Day post!
