Have I ridden a bull?

Award day!  I haven't done this in a while and the Bald Faced Liar "Creative Writer" awards have been piling up.  It seems everyone wants me to lie!  So here goes...
First of all, thank you to Alex J. Cavanaugh, Lorel Clayton, Glen Allison, and Mason Canyon for sending this award my way.  Since you all must want to see me spin some tales--

Five Lies and One Truth--which is which?

1.  I once saw Kirk Cameron at a gas station in L.A. and all I could think to say was, "I like your car."  (He was driving a black Jaguar convertible.)

2.  In college I rode a mechanical bull to level four.

3.  I have driven from coast to coast on US highways 10 and 40.

4.  After a flight to New York I found out Edward Norton was on the same plane as me.  I nearly fainted with frustration, as he is my favorite actor and backup husband (he just doesn't know it yet).

5.  I know someone right now living in every state in the United States.

6.  I have the sweetest Southern Belle accent you ever did hear.  Listenin' to me is like sippin' sugar.

Also today, I need to give out another "Writers Know" award!  Alex J. Cavanaugh announced recently that his book is off to the editor and in the final stages before publication.  This means he has finished his MS (even if he can't let it rest!) and deserves the "Writers Know" award.  Congratulations, Alex.  I can't wait to see the book in print!
(The Writers Know is intended to celelbrate the hard work that goes into completing a manuscript.  And only other writers know what a feat this is!)

Finally, I'd like to thank Stephen Tremp for giving me the "Awesomeous Maximus" award.
In handing this one out, Stepehen said he is thanking those who "have helped support me and spread the good word regarding this blog and/or my book Breakthrough."  Now I don't have a book to market right now, but I understand the need for good PR.  And this thanking of one's supporters is good PR!  So, I say you are welcome, Stephen, and I will continue to do my part to help support the works of my friends.  It's a tough publishing world and we all need each other.

  2. Well, they're all good tales. I'll say #5 is true.

  3. I think they are all true. When we used to play this game - it was two truths and a lie. I wonder how it went the other way - some politicians must have gotten hold of it. Anywhoozie - they all sound plausible to me so I'm going to pick the lie not the truth. hmmmm....I'd say the Ed Norton thing is a lie.

  4. We all chose well when we gave you this award.
You've got me, but I think I remember you saying you don't have an accent, so #6 is a lie. I'm going with #4 being the truth. "Backup husband" is just too funny.

BTW...I have another award waiting for you at my blog. :)

  6. Mechanical bull riding was so popular for a while, so I'm going to guess that's the correct one :)

    Alan- Very possible...

Jan- Oh, did I mess up the rules? I've seen people post it several different ways...but maybe they're all true!

Lorel- Aww, shucks. And not telling!

DL- I used to live off 10, and I live off 40 now, so maybe...
