Jake turns 5!

Happy birthday to my baby boy, Jake!  He turns 5 today...5!!!!
From the moment he entered the world, Jake has encouraged smiles and left laughter in his wake.  He is amazingly smart and beautifully empathetic.

AND- he shares a birthday with none other than Agatha Christie, who would be 120 today.

Happy birthday, Jake & Agatha...but mostly Jake.

  6. That's about the start of the easy age. 0-5 yo; the small-kids hazzle, dipers and obstination, 6-12 yo; everything is easy and smooth, 13-16; the teenage challenge. That's just the way it is >:)

  10. Give Jake a huge hug from me. And give him a lot of extra hugs from you. In fact, keep hugging him, and not letting him go, because by the next birthday he will decide he is a big boy and big boys don't like being hugged by their mothers.

    He's so adorable.

  12. Thank you all. It was a spectacular day and the birthday celebrations continue through the weekend with the actual party.

And whoever said this is when things get easier--I wish that was the case! Jake was a fantastically easy baby and toddler. NOW, the emotions and relationship issues are kicking in as he matures.

Thank you all. He will always be my baby. (And, yes, Rayna, giving him lots of hugs AND kisses while I can!)
