Seriously, my daughter is doing much better.

As for Poe, I have a story in one anthology, a paperback of a couple somewhere else, maybe a poem in an old college textbook...But what I REALLY want is this big leatherbound book that screams, "This writer is worth the muscle mass used to lift this volume!"

As for Atonement, please don't shoot me (and I DO know the offense of what I'm about to say), but I loved the movie so I can't bring myself to dive into the book. If I'd known how beautiful it was I would have read the book first, and not seen the movie at all.

MicheleJournoMichhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11170364981958685438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7193005159654060545.post-74482942174968991352009-10-23T18:33:32.384-04:002009-10-23T18:33:32.384-04:00I would love to have that edition of Poe's sto...I would love to have that edition of Poe's stories. Have you read Ian McEwan's Atonement? That novel sure took me to another time and it's one of my favorites.

I hope all is well now with you and your family :)Mark Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00191881042368314958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7193005159654060545.post-90946461924884068122009-10-21T19:17:06.574-04:002009-10-21T19:17:06.574-04:00GREAT selections here!

Thanks!

And...I hope your daughter is getting better. We know 2 kids with bronchitis right now...lovely. It's especially awful when they cough all night and can't sleep, isn't it?

Elizabeth
Mystery Writing is MurderElizabeth Spann Craighttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15625595247828274405noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7193005159654060545.post-70397481370128773682009-10-21T16:44:09.533-04:002009-10-21T16:44:09.533-04:00I'd be curious to know more about your current...I'd be curious to know more about your current MS. If you don't want to post on here, email me at micheleemrath@ymail.com. I was fascinated by that post and see so much potential in it! And for those of you wondering what we're talking about, here's the link: http://jmdiazfiction.blogspot.com/2009/10/veteran-bosoms-galore.html. You can, of course, scroll down for my comment on the post.

On Garcia Marquez, I thank you for the recommendation. I don't know why I forget about him! I cherished 'Love in the Time of Cholera.'

Thank you!

MicheleJournoMichhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11170364981958685438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7193005159654060545.post-35667780393745001932009-10-21T16:13:24.770-04:002009-10-21T16:13:24.770-04:00I know what you mean! I liked the book covers you posted, but if you want a journey to a different land and time, you must check out Gabriel Garcia Marquez's "One hundred years of solitude". It's a thing of beauty.

Oh, and I LOVED your comment on my post :) and you are right, it MUST be about the women. Surely this will find it's way into one of my future books. There is no place for it in current MS.Jm Diazhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02542245056831474827noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7193005159654060545.post-38284631558742788472009-10-21T15:28:38.185-04:002009-10-21T15:28:38.185-04:00You're not the first to mention that one this ...You're not the first to mention that one this week...Might just make it onto my Friday Finds! If you want to be transported away, I recommend Diana Gabaldon's "Outlander"; an epic tale set in 18th century Scotland.
I envy your master seating area.

ElspethElspeth Futcherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10330102545384369360noreply@blogger.com
